no more caricatures (YAY)

last ones of the season. :D

demo

this guy was the easiest customer ive ever had to draw. he made my day, especially since i was having an artist's block that morning.

demo-bought

this girl wanted me to draw her entire body, as is. maybe she really reeeeeally liked that outfit she was wearing.

their 3rd sibling was a fail. :( hate when i do that.

these guys were pretty fun to draw, since they made everything from facial features to the theme of the drawing light and easy. :)

i should practice more for next season but... mnaaaaaaaaaaah. :)

more them c'ricatures

soooo one more month of c'rcaturing fun, and i feel like i still could use a lot more practice. i think im getting the hang of line quality, and im not completely sucking at coloring anymore...

but im still chickening out of exaggerating the customer's features. i'd hate to hurt the feelings of some 10 year old kid if i stretch out his crazy awesome bucktooth... even if it is crazy awesome.

just some demos i did on a reeeeeally slow day...

first collab with nooree for a customer visiting from ireland.

my zillionth try and fail at drawing ol' monkey boobs.

wonderland's wannabe ad shot. woooooo

c'ricaturin'

...caricature of me by Jun Yu (he didnt get to finish coloring it :( )...

.. Nooree's revenge for this (hAHAHA thanks for the fly-eyes)...

..and one of the caricatures that i liked at the end of my second shift... the couple had this really cute younger sister who liked my caricature of her and made me feel alot better after making a bunch of crap-tastic drawings that day. :)

i'm finding that live caricaturing is really something else... theres time pressure, the worry of having the drawings look like the sitters, figuring out how to use the freaking color sticks (ahhhhhh hate them), hoping for a good reaction from the customer, then (my favorite) there's being conscious of having all these people watch you as you work. AGH.

but its fun. the people you meet, the stuff you get to draw.
and, working next to FUNNEL CAKES. ahhhh never had one before i started working, and i shame myself for not knowing its existence.

YUMMMMMMM.
